West Community Recognizes Outstanding Students at 2026 Scholarship Awards Receptions

O’FALLON, MO — West Community is proud to announce its 2026 scholarship recipients, awarding nine outstanding students in recognition of their academic achievement, personal growth, and commitment to their communities. As West Community celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, the milestone adds an extra sense of pride and legacy to the occasion.

During the recognition ceremony, West Community Credit Union CEO Jason Peach personally presented each award, making the moment especially memorable. The event was further enhanced by the recent merger between West Community and Gateway Metro Federal Credit Union, highlighted by the attendance of Gateway Metro’s 2026 scholarship recipient, who traveled more than 200 miles with her family to attend.

Recipients were selected through a competitive process based on financial need, academics, recommendations, extracurricular involvement, and a personal essay or video sharing an experience that shaped who they are today. Their submissions revealed inspiring stories of resilience, perseverance, and growth, demonstrating how they have overcome challenges and discovered their purpose.

“We’re incredibly proud of this year’s scholarship recipients,” said Jason Peach, CEO of West Community Credit Union. “Supporting their journeys is one of the most meaningful ways we can give back to our community.”
