O’Fallon, Mo. – West Community Credit Union is pleased to announce its scholarship commitment with Harris-Stowe University. The 2021-22 academic school year marks the first of a four year partnership with the historically black university located in St. Louis.
Funding scholarships in the community is one of many ways West Community is working to advance educational equity by diversifying the Business, Accounting, and Financial Service industries.
“Supporting education is one of our primary philanthropic pillars at the credit union, and it has been an honor to hear how these scholarships have changed the lives of the students who receive them,” commented Lori Hudson, Community Engagement Manager. “This partnership directly supports our Vision of creating collaborative relationships based on trust, and mutual understanding to achieve shared goals.”
Harris-Stowe State University, founded in 1857, provides educational opportunities for individuals seeking a rich and engaging academic experience. They offer programs designed to nurture intellectual curiosity and build authentic skills that prepare the students for success in a diverse society.
