O’Fallon, MO – West Community Credit Union is proud to introduce Brock Martin as its new Director of Fraud and Financial Crimes. Martin will develop and oversee a team of fraud and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) specialists, ensuring West Community Credit Union remains at the forefront of fraud detection, prevention, and compliance to stay ahead of emerging fraud trends and promote continuous education for staff and members alike. Martin’s journey into fraud prevention began in law enforcement, where he discovered a deep interest in financial crimes investigations
“If you would have told me 20 years ago that I would be working for a financial institution, I would have told you that you are crazy,” Martin shared. “But my law enforcement career led me to a world of financial crimes investigations, and it was love at first sight. I enjoy bringing people together to combat fraud, and West Community already has a team that is passionate about keeping our members and the credit union safe,” Martin said.
“With a distinguished background in law enforcement and financial crimes investigations, Brock brings a unique blend of experience and passion to his new role, where he will lead efforts to protect members and the credit union from fraud and financial threats,” said Denny McGrane, Vice-President of Lending. “Brock’s vision for an education-focused fraud department fits right in with our mission to protect and empower our members. He is prepared to take us to the next level.”
West Community Credit Union has consistently prioritized fraud prevention with innovative strategies and member-focused solutions. With Martin’s leadership, the credit union is well-positioned to strengthen its fraud prevention efforts even more. Outside of work, Martin enjoys playing guitar and taking road trips on his Harley with his wife, bringing the same sense of adventure and dedication to his personal life as he does to his professional role.
