To boost morale and show appreciation to U.S. troops deployed overseas, West Community is participating in the City of O’Fallon Support Our Troops Supply Drive from August 11 – September 11. We will have collection bins at each of our branches.
Everyone is invited to donate practical items like pocket-sized packages of nuts and beef jerky, batteries, personal care items and individual first aid supplies like cough drops and band aids.
The items most often requested are:
BEEF JERKY; VIENNA SAUSAGES CHAPSTICK (or lip balm) BATTERIES, AA/AAA DEODORANT DISPOSABLE RAZORS TWEEZERS FINGERNAIL CLIPPERS and FILES PACKAGED SUNFLOWER SEEDS; TRAIL MIX MARKERS, HI-LITE/PERMANENT COUGH DROPS ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT; HYDROCORTISONE CREAM; BAND AIDS FOOT POWDER; BABY POWDER COMBS; HAIR BRUSHES POWDERED DRINK MIX (INDIVIDUAL PACKETS) RAISINS CANNED TUNA; TUNA WITH CRACKER KITS
